Interviews with Philosophers of Economics

Francesco Guala interviewed several philosophers of economics: Anna Alexandrova, Erik Angner, Richard Bradley, Till Grüne-Yanoff, Jaakko Kuorikoski, David Teira, and myself.

In my interview, I address questions such as: Is the distinction between normative and positive economics still useful? Can economic theory tell us how to behave? Why is economic measurement an interesting topic for philosophers? I also make the case for economists and philosopher having much to learn from each other when it comes to investigate fairness.

The interview series is part of the 2019 Summer School on “Economic Behaviours: Models, Measurements, and Policies”, co-organized by the Lake Como School of Advanced Studies, the International Network of Economic Method (INEM), the University of Insubria, and the University of Milan.
